USB Fast Charging

When used with Battery Charging 1.1 (BC 1.1) compliant devices, able to fast charge at 3x normal USB 2.0 rate (1.5A) without a computer attached, up to a total max of 2.5A.

When used with non-BC 1.1 devices, this is a standard USB 2.0 hub, requiring a host computer to be attached and on to charge devices at the USB 2.0 max 500mA rate. Apple devices are *not* BC 1.1 compliant, and hub has no special support for Apple extensions for charging iPad/iPod at higher rate. Does not charge iPad while its screen is on.
